GSU & AKSI Irish Championship 2019

The AKSI National Championships will take place in on Saturday 2nd March 2019 at Ard Scoil na Mara, Tramore, Co Waterford. The championships will cater for all levels of lifters from beginners to advanced and will include 5 min slot for junior lifters. The championships will be the qualifiers for the Irish Team competing at the WKSF European and World Championships in 2019. It is also the leg of the GSU Four Nations Championships between Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.

As with all AKSI competitions, all are welcome to compete. Discounted rate for AKSI and GSU Members

Juniors 5 min mini comp 4kg, 6kg, 8kg, 10kg, 12kg (jerk, snatch, long cycle)

10 minute events
Juniors 4kg, 6kg, 8kg, 10kg, 12kg, 14kg (Biathlon, snatch, long cycle)
Female 8kg, 12kg, 16kg, 20kg, 24kg (Biathlon, snatch, long cycle)
Male 12kg, 16kg, 20kg, 24kg, 28kg, 32kg (Biathlon, snatch, long cycle)

Qualifying Categories for the Irish Team
You MUST be an AKSI Member to qualify for the Irish Team

The World Championships will be held in Meath, Ireland 23rd-26th May 2019 and the European Championships will be held in Ukraine in October/November .

For those not trying out for the Irish Team medals will be awarded under the GSU weight categories.

Male 63,68, 73, 78, 85, 95, 95+
Weight categories will be merged up and down by max 1 category in the event of there being just one person in a weight category.
