GSU Scottish Open Championship 2014

£25The Scottish Open Championships will take place on Saturday 8th February 2014. Last year’s event saw over 70 athletes in attendance from over 20 clubs spanning 7 countries, hopefully we can make it even bigger this year!
The championships are held in association with Girevoy Sport Union of UK and Ireland (GSU), entry is open to all, members and non-members alike. For members this competition is the Scottish leg of the Four Nations Tournament.

Kettlebell Weight Categories
Men – 16, 20, 24, 28, 32kg
Ladies – 8kg, 12, 16, 20, 24kg
Youth (up to 18), Junior (up to 22), Adult (22+), Veterans (40+) and Seniors (50+) divisions.

Transport:
Driving: the gym is just off the M8. Plenty of parking available.
Public transport: Trains from down south tend to come into Glasgow Central, while ones from the north to Queen Street. The Gym is 5 mins walk from Hillington East Train Station (regular trains to Glasgow Central and Paisley).
Flying: there are three options: Glasgow International, Glasgow Prestwick and Edinburgh
Glasgow International Airport is just down the road from the Gym too (10 mins drive), serviced by most major airlines including easyjet.
Ryanair flies to Glasgow Prestwick which is about an hour on the train away. Show your plane ticket for half price fare. You can get off at Paisley and transfer to a train to Hillington West, or carry on to Glasgow Central if you want to go to town.
Edinburgh Airport is also well serviced by most airlines and has a regular direct bus service to Glasgow also taking about an hour.
