Newly Ranked Athletes!

Ability to make Rank is one of the things available to all GSU members, no charge is made for ranking attempts which may be made at any of the five main GSU competitions in the year (Scottish, Irish, English, Welsh and British championships) or any international level competition presided upon by international judges (IUKL/IGSF etc).

The ranking applications from February’s Scottish Open have been verified and the newly ranked athletes informed! Among which we have four new Rank 3 athletes, four rank 2, four rank 1 (including Josh Hayes – a junior ranking at adult level!), one CMS and one Master of Sport International Class (reps equivalent to).

The list of athletes who ranked at the 2014 Scottish Open is:

Future World Champions!

Josh Hayes from Kilkenny Kettlebell Club Ireland with a new record, and setting new standards in Ireland and UK for junior male lifters, 16 years old, body weight category 63kg.

24kg snatch 10min – 173 reps, more than most adults in the UK and Ireland!!

Although kettlebell sport is still fairly young here its future is very bright going by the standard of juniors coming through!
