Enter the Online Kettlebell Challenge Cup

TOKCC is a friendly challenge doesn’t mean the rules/regulations are relaxed. It’s friendly in that it is a safe place to encourage and practice learning on the part of the newbies, and critical self-reflection/analysis of execution for the more experienced. Challenging yourself to teeter the line between weight of bell, and fastest rpm you can manage within the rules, but always favouring quality over quantity.

Below is an outline for athletes stating rules of The Online Kettlebell Challenge Cup (T.O.K.C.C). ONLY LIFT SUBMISSIONS ARE WELCOME ON THE PAGE RULES
We will have the following:
A: Each monthly challenge will start at 12 noon GMT on the 1st day of the month and finish at midnight GMT on the last day of the month. Video to be recorded within this time frame and no pre-recorded sets will be allowed.

B: Videos submissions will only be accepted if the entire frontal view is visible, including the bell in the overhead position, and the lifters feet.

C: One lift per month and one month to complete each lift.

D: Your video must be submitted by midnight GMT months end. Either load directly into your comment or upload to YouTube etc and supply link. You may submit a maximum of 2 entries of the lift per month, so if you wish to retest hold fire on submitting your 2nd and ensure you get your best result.

E: A video submission can have a max of 4 entrants/athletes

F: Single bell lifts are one switch unless stated otherwise.

G: Any kettlebell weight is allowed. (Feel free to test yourself on the heavy weights).

H: All lifts are 5 minutes in length. Number of hand changes are specified each month. You do not have to complete the full 5 minutes if you are new to the lifts or the sport, do your best.

I: Mini 5-11yr Junior 12-15yr Adult 16-49yr Veteran 50-59yr Senior 60+ (Not compulsory) ** If you do not specify an age then you will be placed within the OPEN ADULT category. ** You can only enter ONE age category

NAME: GENDER: BODY WEIGHT: KB WEIGHT: REPS: AGE: (if required)

SCORING Co-eff formula: IKMF Co-eff = Reps x Kettlebell kg Set time x (body weight ^(2/3)) Weight in KG, time in m ONLY include your body weight, kettlebell weight and reps along with your video submission. The admin will use a mathematical spread sheet to calculate this each month so you do not have to.

LIFT SPECS Nobody is judging your form too harshly here, but we must ensure the lift is done correctly. If you require assistance the athletes on the forum are always happy to help. But if you are in doubt please check the LIFTS sheet for what is expected.

WINNERS There will be a male & female winner at the end of each month for JUNIOR/ADULT/VETERAN/SENIOR division. The winners for each month will receive a digital certificate for the winner to keep and print to recognise their achievement/s. Strong lifting to all who compete.
